Best Available Rates (nett Dynamic Rates)

• Rates are priced per room per night

• Rates are inclusive of VAT

• Rates are quoted, invoiced and payable in ZAR
• Rates are nett and non-commissionable. Twenty (20%) commission our standard STO rate
• Rates are subject to change without notice
• It is not the Hotels intention to undercut rates supplied to the Tour Operator, but the guesthouses may, from time to time when demand is not as predicted, decrease the rack rates. Should this occur and such rates are less than the NETT rates, the hotel will grant a percentage discount off the rack rates to the value of 20%. This discounted rate
  will be referred to as your nett Dynamic Rates.
• The rack rate must be for the same number of guests, on the same dates as the original booking, for the same length of stay, in the same room type.
• The public rate must be consistent with respect to the total offering/booking, i.e. Room Only, Bed and Breakfast, etc.
• The nett dynamic rates are applicable to F.I.T. travellers only and may not exceed 3 rooms per transaction.
• As our Best Available Rates (BAR) are calculated based on demand and demand is constantly changing, we recommend that you make your booking immediately at the time of request to secure the rate and to avoid disappointment.

Minimum length of stay, special offers and guides

• Minimum 2 nights stay at theLAB Robertson in December and during the Easter Weekend, non-refundable rates apply
• Guide and Driver Rooms: R750 subject to availability and on a single basis optional breakfast available for R150 per guide.

Cancellation policy for STO clients

• Full pre-payment is required 30 days prior to arrival or per tailored arrangement
• Cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival attracts 100% cancellation fee
• Refund of payment would only be done at the end of a month
• We are committed to handling all queries with the required care

Provisional reservations

• Made less than 60 days prior to arrival will be held for 72 hours
• Made more than 61 days prior to arrival will be held for a maximum of 14 days, unless otherwise agreed
• Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival, or within 5 working days if booked within 30 days prior to arrival date
• Should confirmation by means of 100% payment not be received 30 days prior to arrival, the booking will automatically be released and can only be reinstated on the basis that the booking is guaranteed by a deposit, and remains subject to availability
• We reserve the right to request a deposit for group bookings at the time of reservation being made

• The COVID-19 protocol that we have put in place in all of our operating properties at theLAB guesthouse is for the safety and reassurance of staff and guests. This protocol is outlined below.
  
  
• Screening of guests on arrival has become necessary in accordance with the national state of disaster pronounced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 15 March 2020. In order to prevent an infected person from checking into the hotel theLAB
  has put in place the following:
  
  • Guests will be required to complete and sign a questionnaire.
  • When a guest has symptoms of the virus they will not be allowed to check-in and will be referred to a medical facility.
  • Sanitize hands before leaving the reception area and into the main buildings
  • Guest hand sanitisers (alcohol based) are placed in easy reach of guests in public areas of the hotel with a notice encouraging regular use.
  • Personal hygiene is being reiterated, including the importance of washing hands frequently and thoroughly
  • Regular routine cleaning of public areas such as restrooms, breakfast rooms,restaurants, tabletops, counters, handrails, doorknobs, back office surfaces and front desk surfaces are wiped down on a regular routine throughout the day, with a polycide chemical (a disinfectant cleaner) that kills most viruses.
  • Avoiding close contact with anyone who is coughing, sneezing and feverish. Anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness to be reported to the hotel’s general manager for further action to take place, such as contacting the NICD hotline.

Franschhoek

• Only children over the age of 12 can be accommodated
• The Family Superior room has 2 additional single beds in their own room and can accommodate 2 children aged 12 to 18.
  The cost per child is R500 (RACK) and R400 (STO)
• There are no baby cots available
• Children under the age of 12 may not share any of the other rooms with parents

Robertson

• Children can be accommodated in certain rooms
• Children aged 12 or older can be accommodated in the Family room or our Deluxe Valley facing Rooms, which are
  inter-leading.
  The cost per child is R500(rack) and R400(STO).
  Alternatively, a separate room must be booked. The standard room rates will apply.
• A child between the age of 3-12 years, may be accommodated on a mattress at an additional child supplement.
  Only certain Superior Rooms can accommodate this.
  The cost per child is R350 (rack) and R280(STO)
• A child between the age of 0-2 years, may stay free of charge when sleeping with the parents in their bed, or will be provided with a baby
  cot at R150 per night (RACK) and R125 (STO)
